We are a friendly group of people with a shared interest in the history of Halberton in particular and history in general. Most of our members live in Halberton and nearby localities but we do have members living in other parts of the globe. Our activities are managed by a committee that cares for our archives, organises local walks and visits to places of interest, works with other local groups to mark special occasions and arranges talks from visiting speakers.Information about the Group and so on
We are based at the Twose Room in Halberton Village Hall, which contains our archive of documents, books, maps and photographs. The room is normally open to the public from 1030 every Saturday morning and at other times on request, when volunteers are on hand to help with any queries.
